Taxes & licences

Owning a house also means managing local taxes, housing rates and the fees you have to pay and renewing licences and permits on a yearly basis. These include not only Property Tax (Impuesto sobre Bienes Inmuebles) and the yearly contribution to street lighting and rubbish collection, but also charges for utilities like electricity or gas or a driveway entrance licence (vado).
