Renovation project – country house Ses Salines
Villa Description
- Ses Salines
- Building Year: 2009
- Duration: 6 months
This old country house was completely renovated in 2009. All traditional elements of the facade were preserved and an effort was made to adapt the installations to sustainability and environmentally friendly standards. The walls were reconstructed or repaired where needed and the weather-beaten pine shutters were swapped for modern teak ones. The result is a highly modern villa with an antique flair, which has been rewarded with several awards.
The interior was also refurbished following a similar concept. Modern white walls are combined with tiles, wooden beams and fragments of the original lime walls, whereas traditional stone floors cover now a modern underfloor heating installation.
