Dearest friends,
one of our favourite activities in autumn in Mallorca is trying the tasty specialities at the many markets on the island. The season of the “Firas” has started and for sure you will find something interesting thanks to its huge variety!
On November 18th you can visit the “Fira de la Mel” in Llubi, which is all about honey and where you will certainly be able to try some sweet treats.
The “Dijous Bo” in Inca is one of the most well-known markets of the island, this year it takes place on November the 15th. There you will find a big variety of local products.
The olives and the olive oil are the main attraction of the “Fira de s’Oliva” in Caimari on the 17th and the 18th of November. A visit to this charming town can perfectly be combined with a trip to the beautiful Tramuntana mountains. It is worth visiting the monastery Lluc from the 13th century, where you will also be able to enjoy a hot chocolate with a piece of cake.
It is also possible to sleep in the monastery as the old cells have been turned into cosy guest rooms. You can find more information about the monastery via the following link: http://www.lluc.net/eng/ Here you will find different hiking and biking routes too.
A beautiful walk surrounded by the big mountains and the lovely nature of this world heritage area leads around the reservoir Cúber. The artificial lake is easily reachable by car from the monastery and the walk takes around 1 hour.
And please don’t forget that it is time to take care of your taxes! The tax declaration for the year 2017 is due soon and if you want to, we can arrange it for you. The period is from the beginning of October until the beginning of December. Don’t hesitate to contact us per email or phone if you have any questions or need more information.
Wishing you a wonderful autumn
