Can you feel it too? The first rays of sunshine, the fresh flower scent, the sea breeze… The island is awakening from its hibernation. In our opinion, it is one of the most beautiful seasons on Mallorca. This time of the year many sport-lovers are coming back to the island, too.
Spring has started, and with it the sport season. Whether cycling, sailing, golf or yoga, every activity can be enjoyed on the island.
There is a great variety of cycling possibilities, whether as free-time activity, professional training or just a stroll. There are many officially marked routes, which together sum more than 350 kilometres of route. You can find more information in a brochure of the Council of Mallorca. Let’s go!
A Highlight for all sailing fans is the International Boat Show Palma, where one can admire more tan 600 boats and yachts. This year it takes place from April 27th until May 1st and it already promises to be the biggest yet.
Golfers are spoilt for choice on the island. There are golf courses of all kind all over the island. Some worth mentioning in our area are the Vall D’Or Golf in Portocolom with wonderful views, the Reserva Rotana nearby Manacor with excellent service and restaurant, the Pula Golf in Son Servera and the Son Antem Golf in Llucmajor.
For the ones who not only want to look after the body, but also after mind and spirit can book a yoga retreat in Cal Reiet in Santanyi. The wonderful ambience of this Boutique Hotel is unique and helps to relax and get new energy. Furthermore, it is perfect for vegans.
A very special recommendation for a relaxing massage, which will make disappear even the last trouble of everyday life, is the ayurvedic therapist Pia Rodriguez. For more information about an unforgettable therapy click here. Although the name sounds Spanish, she is German and speaks English, so don’t hesitate to make an appointment on +34 680 496 995.
After the sport, it is time for some good food, so here are some beautiful places for you.
Some of the most beautiful terraces with fantastic sea view, where you can enjoy the sun and excellent food, are from our highly recommended restaurants: Sa Llotja in Portocolom, Máxime in Vall D’Or Golf and Port Petit in Cala D’or. Can Petra in Portopetro has beautiful views to the harbour, too. You will be surprised at their delicious menus!
We hope that you enjoy the wonderful springtime on our island and wish you much joy while experiencing Mallorca with all senses.
