July in Mallorca stands for long days at the beach, cosy siestas and relaxing summer evenings with views of the sun setting over the sea or a glass of wine in good company.
Portocolom offers a variety of activities during this month. You shouldn’t miss the “Sopar a penyes” (dinner on the cliffs). This celebration takes place every year on the last Friday in July, this year it will be on the 27th. In the evening the locals come together with family and friends on the beach of S’Arenal for a nice picnic by the sea. Tourists and newcomer are welcome too. Live music and a beautiful firework at midnight with colourful explosions that are reflected on the surface of the sea will round off this special night. The celebration will continue into the early hours of the morning and with a little courage you can try and jump into the sea during the night.
Another recommendation from us after a long shopping day in Palma is the popular Ruta Martiana (Tapas route), where you can enjoy every Tuesday for approx. 2€ a tapa and a beer in several bars around the city.
